  39. Our Promise

1. Our Commitment

At London Window Tints Ltd, our goal is to provide high-quality residential and commercial window film solutions supported by honest advice, professional workmanship and exceptional customer service.

Every recommendation we make is based upon our experience, the information available at the time and the specific requirements of your project. We do not believe in one-size-fits-all solutions and will always aim to recommend products that are appropriate for your property, your objectives and your budget.

Our commitment includes:

  • Providing honest and transparent advice.

  • Recommending products based on suitability rather than sales.

  • Completing installations to a professional standard.

  • Respecting your home or business throughout the installation.

  • Communicating openly before, during and after your project.

  • Resolving concerns fairly and professionally should they arise.

Whilst we strive to deliver the highest possible standard on every installation, certain aspects of product performance may vary depending on glazing type, building construction, environmental conditions and other factors beyond our reasonable control.

3. Quotations & Recommendations

Every quotation prepared by London Window Tints Ltd is based upon the information available at the time it is produced. This may include customer-supplied measurements, photographs, drawings, videos, descriptions, architectural plans or information obtained during a site survey.

Our recommendations are made using professional judgement and industry experience, taking into consideration the information available when the quotation is prepared. Should additional information become available, or should site conditions differ from those originally described, we reserve the right to revise our recommendations and quotation accordingly.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Quotations remain valid for 30 calendar days from the date of issue.

  • Prices relate only to the products and services specifically listed within the quotation.

  • Additional works requested after acceptance may require a revised quotation.

  • Product availability remains subject to supplier stock levels.

  • Product specifications, colours and manufacturer performance data may change where products are updated or discontinued by the manufacturer.

  • Quotations are confidential and remain the intellectual property of London Window Tints Ltd. They are provided solely for the customer's consideration and must not be reproduced, distributed or used for commercial purposes without our written permission.

Where a revised quotation becomes necessary due to changes in measurements, glazing specifications, site conditions or customer requirements, no additional work or materials will be ordered without first discussing and agreeing the revised costs with the customer.

Our quotations are intended to provide complete transparency. If any aspect of your quotation is unclear, we encourage you to contact us before acceptance so we can explain it fully.

4. Site Surveys & Assessments

Where a site survey is carried out, its purpose is to gather the information required to prepare an accurate quotation and determine the suitability of the proposed installation.

A site survey may include:

  • Measuring glazing.

  • Assessing access requirements.

  • Reviewing existing glazing conditions.

  • Identifying potential installation risks.

  • Confirming glazing compatibility.

  • Reviewing existing window films.

  • Discussing customer requirements and expectations.

Whilst every effort is made to identify potential issues during a survey, certain conditions may only become apparent during installation, including concealed glazing defects, previous repairs, failed sealed units or other hidden conditions.

Where additional work becomes necessary due to circumstances that could not reasonably have been identified beforehand, London Window Tints Ltd will discuss the available options and any associated costs before proceeding.

A site survey should not be regarded as a structural survey or professional assessment of the building, glazing system or surrounding construction.

5. Orders & Acceptance

Once you decide to proceed, we will confirm your booking together with any agreed quotation, payment schedule and proposed installation details.

An order shall be considered accepted once one or more of the following has occurred:

  • Written acceptance of the quotation.

  • Payment of any required deposit.

  • Written instruction to proceed.

  • Acceptance through our online quotation system.

  • Confirmation by email or WhatsApp.

  • Any other written confirmation accepted by both parties.

Following acceptance, specialist materials may be ordered specifically for your project. As many products are manufactured or supplied to order, changes requested after acceptance may affect pricing, lead times or availability.

Should significant amendments be required after acceptance, these will always be discussed before further work or ordering takes place.

6. Scope of Works & Panel Confirmation

To provide complete transparency, every quotation prepared by London Window Tints Ltd is based upon a clearly defined scope of works.

Where applicable, quotations and invoices will include a panel schedule, measurements, descriptions, drawings or annotated images identifying the specific glazing panels, windows, doors or glass areas included within the proposed installation.

These details form part of the agreed scope of works and are intended to ensure both parties have a clear understanding of exactly what is included within the quotation.

Before accepting a quotation, customers are asked to carefully review all quoted panels, measurements and installation areas to confirm they accurately reflect the required works.

By accepting a quotation, the customer confirms that, to the best of their knowledge, the listed glazing panels and installation areas accurately represent the works they wish London Window Tints Ltd to undertake.

Should any glazing panels, windows or areas have been omitted, incorrectly identified or require amendment, the customer should notify London Window Tints Ltd before accepting the quotation wherever reasonably possible.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, London Window Tints Ltd will only supply and install window film to the glazing panels specifically identified within the accepted quotation.

Where additional glazing panels or installation areas are identified after acceptance, or during installation, these shall be treated as a variation to the original agreement and may require:

  • An updated quotation.

  • Additional materials.

  • Additional labour.

  • Additional installation time.

  • A revised installation programme.

  • Additional charges where applicable.

Where quotations have been prepared using measurements, photographs, drawings or information supplied by the customer, London Window Tints Ltd relies upon the accuracy of that information when calculating material quantities, labour requirements and pricing. Whilst reasonable care is taken during the quotation process, responsibility for confirming the agreed scope of works rests with both parties before materials are ordered and installation begins.

7. Securing Your Booking

To reserve installation dates and order specialist materials, a deposit may be required.

Where a deposit is requested, the required amount will be clearly stated within your quotation or invoice.

Deposits enable London Window Tints Ltd to:

  • Reserve installation dates.

  • Order products and materials specifically for your project.

  • Allocate installation resources.

  • Schedule labour and project planning.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, installation dates cannot be guaranteed until any required deposit has been received.

Where materials have already been ordered specifically for your project, deposits may become non-refundable where cancellation results in costs that cannot reasonably be recovered.

Should London Window Tints Ltd be unable to proceed with the agreed works for reasons solely within our control, any deposit paid will either be refunded in full or transferred to a mutually agreed future installation date.

8. Payments

Our quotations and invoices clearly outline the payment schedule applicable to your project.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • Deposits are payable before specialist materials are ordered or installation dates are confirmed.

  • The remaining balance becomes due immediately upon completion of the agreed works.

  • Payments may be made using the payment methods detailed on your quotation or invoice.

Where staged payments have been agreed, each payment shall become due in accordance with the agreed payment schedule.

Failure to make payment when due may result in:

  • Suspension of future works.

  • Delay in warranty documentation being issued.

  • Recovery of outstanding sums through appropriate legal channels.

  • Interest being charged on overdue invoices where permitted by law.

Ownership of supplied materials shall remain with London Window Tints Ltd until payment has been received in full.

9. Working Together

A successful installation relies upon cooperation between both London Window Tints Ltd and the customer.

To help us complete your installation safely, efficiently and to the highest possible standard, customers agree to:

  • Provide accurate information wherever reasonably possible.

  • Notify us of any known issues affecting the glazing or installation area.

  • Ensure agreed work areas are accessible.

  • Remove or protect valuable and fragile items where practical.

  • Keep children and pets away from active work areas.

  • Inform us of any parking restrictions or access requirements before installation.

  • Notify us promptly if circumstances change before the agreed installation date.

Where circumstances arise that prevent installation from proceeding safely or efficiently, we will discuss the available options before continuing.

10. Property Access & Site Preparation

Safe and unrestricted access is essential for every installation.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that London Window Tints Ltd has reasonable access to all agreed installation areas at the scheduled time.

Where specialist access equipment is required, including but not limited to:

  • Mobile towers

  • Scaffolding

  • Cherry pickers

  • Specialist lifting equipment

This will either be included within the quotation or discussed separately before works commence.

Where access differs significantly from that originally described during quotation, additional costs may apply. These will always be discussed and agreed before further work proceeds.

If safe access is unavailable upon arrival, installation may need to be postponed until suitable arrangements have been made.

11. Furniture, Blinds & Site Preparation

To help ensure a safe and efficient installation, customers are asked to prepare the work area before our arrival wherever reasonably practical.

This may include:

  • Moving furniture away from windows.

  • Removing blinds or curtains where required.

  • Protecting valuable items.

  • Providing sufficient working space around the glazing.

Where assistance is requested and agreed, London Window Tints Ltd will take reasonable care when moving lightweight furniture. However, responsibility for valuable, fragile or irreplaceable items remains with the customer unless damage results directly from our negligence.

If significant preparation remains incomplete upon arrival and prevents the installation from proceeding efficiently, additional labour charges or a rescheduled installation may be necessary.

12. Parking, Utilities & Working Environment

Customers are kindly requested to inform London Window Tints Ltd of any known parking restrictions, permit requirements, congestion charges, low emission zones or similar access restrictions relating to the installation location prior to the agreed installation date.

Reasonable access to electricity and clean water may be required throughout the installation.

Customers should also ensure that the working environment remains reasonably safe for both parties throughout the installation.

London Window Tints Ltd reserves the right to temporarily suspend or postpone works where conditions are considered unsafe due to circumstances including, but not limited to:

  • Unsafe access.

  • Aggressive behaviour.

  • Dangerous building conditions.

  • Hazardous materials.

  • Excessive temperatures.

  • Severe weather affecting external works.

Customer safety and the safety of our installers will always take priority.

13. Changes Before Installation

We understand that projects occasionally change after a quotation has been accepted.

Should you wish to amend your order, installation date, selected product or agreed scope of works, please notify us as soon as reasonably possible.

Where changes are requested after specialist materials have been ordered, additional costs or revised lead times may apply.

Where London Window Tints Ltd identifies information affecting the suitability of the originally recommended product, we reserve the right to recommend an alternative solution where this is considered to be in the customer's best interests.

Any revised quotation will always be discussed and agreed before further work proceeds.

14. Delays Beyond Either Party's Control

Whilst every effort is made to complete installations on the agreed dates, circumstances occasionally arise that are outside the reasonable control of either London Window Tints Ltd or the customer.

These may include:

  • Supplier delays.

  • Product shortages.

  • Severe weather.

  • Road closures.

  • Unexpected site conditions.

  • Equipment failure.

  • Illness.

  • Utility failures.

Where delays occur, London Window Tints Ltd will communicate with the customer as soon as reasonably possible and work with them to agree a revised installation date.

Such delays shall not, in themselves, constitute a breach of contract.

15. Understanding Your Glass

Every glazing system is different. Selecting the correct window film depends on a number of factors, including the glass type, glazing specification, building construction, window orientation and intended application.

Before recommending a product, London Window Tints Ltd may request additional information, including:

  • Photographs of glazing kitemarks.

  • Manufacturer information.

  • Building drawings.

  • Architectural plans.

  • Existing glazing specifications.

  • Other information necessary to determine compatibility.

Whilst every reasonable effort is made to recommend suitable products, our recommendations are based upon the information available at the time.

Where glazing specifications cannot be confirmed, additional investigation or specialist advice may be required before installation proceeds.

London Window Tints Ltd reserves the right to amend our recommendation or decline an installation where compatibility cannot reasonably be verified or where installation presents an unacceptable level of risk.

16. Existing Glass & Property Conditions

Window film is installed onto existing glazing and surrounding frames. London Window Tints Ltd cannot accept responsibility for defects, deterioration or damage that existed before installation or which become apparent during normal preparation and installation.

Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Scratched glass.

  • Chipped glass.

  • Cracked glazing.

  • Failed double or triple glazed units.

  • Existing seal failure.

  • Manufacturing imperfections.

  • Distorted glass.

  • Existing adhesive residue.

  • Previous window film.

  • Damaged frames.

  • Loose glazing beads.

  • Timber movement.

  • Silicone deterioration.

  • Existing leaks.

  • Condensation between glazing units.

  • Existing decorative finishes.

These conditions may become more noticeable after professional cleaning or following installation due to changes in reflection, clarity and viewing angle.

Where reasonably possible, any significant pre-existing conditions identified before installation will be discussed with the customer.

17. Glass Compatibility & Thermal Stress

Window film alters the thermal characteristics of glazing by absorbing and reflecting solar energy.

Whilst professionally selected films are designed to minimise risk, no installer can completely eliminate the possibility of thermal stress or glass failure where glazing contains existing weaknesses or unknown manufacturing defects.

The likelihood of thermal stress may increase where glazing:

  • Contains existing damage.

  • Is partially shaded.

  • Has uneven edge conditions.

  • Is unusually large.

  • Contains specialist coatings.

  • Is laminated, wired or otherwise non-standard.

  • Has previously experienced thermal stress.

  • Has manufacturing imperfections.

Recommendations are made using recognised industry guidance together with the information available at the time.

Where London Window Tints Ltd considers glazing unsuitable for a proposed film, we reserve the right to recommend an alternative product or decline the installation.

18. Installation Process

Every installation is carried out using professional techniques developed specifically for architectural window film.

Customers should expect:

  • Thorough cleaning of glazing before installation.

  • Water-based installation methods.

  • Temporary moisture beneath the film.

  • Professional trimming and finishing.

  • Final inspection upon completion.

Whilst every reasonable effort is made to achieve the highest possible finish, window film remains a hand-installed product and should be assessed in accordance with recognised industry standards under normal viewing conditions.

19. External Installations

External installations require suitable weather conditions to ensure product performance and installation quality.

Where weather conditions are considered unsuitable, including excessive wind, heavy rain, extreme temperatures or other unsafe conditions, London Window Tints Ltd reserves the right to postpone installation.

Customers will be notified as soon as reasonably practicable and an alternative installation date will be arranged.

Where external installations require additional access equipment or health and safety measures beyond those originally anticipated, any additional costs will always be discussed before work proceeds.

20. Drying & Curing

Following installation, window film requires a curing period before reaching its final appearance.

The curing period varies depending upon:

  • Film type.

  • Glass orientation.

  • Temperature.

  • Humidity.

  • Seasonal conditions.

  • Exposure to sunlight.

During this period it is normal to observe:

  • Water pockets.

  • Haze.

  • Minor distortion.

  • Drying marks.

  • Temporary optical variation.

These characteristics form part of the normal curing process and should not be considered defects.

Customers should avoid disturbing the film during this period and should follow the guidance contained within our Aftercare Guide.

21. Performance Expectations

Window film is designed to improve the comfort, efficiency and appearance of glazing.

Manufacturer performance figures, including:

  • Solar Energy Rejection.

  • UV Rejection.

  • Infrared Rejection.

  • Glare Reduction.

  • Visible Light Transmission.

These are produced under controlled laboratory conditions.

Actual performance will vary depending upon factors including:

  • Glass specification.

  • Building orientation.

  • Weather conditions.

  • Internal heating and cooling.

  • Insulation.

  • Ventilation.

  • External shading.

  • Interior furnishings.

Whilst customers commonly experience noticeable improvements in comfort, London Window Tints Ltd cannot guarantee that a particular room temperature, energy saving or performance outcome will be achieved.

Any estimated performance improvements discussed before installation should be regarded as guidance based upon product testing and professional experience rather than guaranteed results.

22. Appearance & Optical Characteristics

Every window film has its own visual characteristics.

Depending upon the selected product, customers may observe:

  • Reflection changes.

  • Minor colour variation.

  • Changes in appearance throughout the day.

  • Increased reflectivity during darker evenings.

  • Temporary installation haze.

  • Minor edge gaps.

  • Manufacturing tolerances.

The appearance of window film will also vary depending upon:

  • Lighting conditions.

  • Viewing angle.

  • Existing glazing.

  • Building surroundings.

  • Seasonal changes.

Samples, brochures and website photography are intended as guides only and should not be interpreted as exact representations once installed.

23. Product Consistency

Window film is manufactured in production batches.

Whilst manufacturers maintain extremely high quality standards, slight differences in colour, reflectivity, finish or appearance may occur between production batches.

Where additional works are requested after the original installation has been completed, London Window Tints Ltd cannot guarantee an exact visual match with previously installed products.

Wherever reasonably possible, we will recommend the closest available product and advise where any noticeable variation may occur.

24. Reasonable Installation Tolerances

Architectural window film is a hand-finished product.

Whilst every installation is completed to a professional standard, certain minor characteristics are considered acceptable within recognised industry tolerances.

These may include:

  • Small edge clearances.

  • Minor dust particles.

  • Minor optical distortion.

  • Manufacturing tolerances.

  • Minor visual imperfections not visible under normal viewing conditions.

Finished installations should be assessed in natural lighting and from a reasonable viewing distance.

Assessment under magnification, extremely close inspection or unusual lighting conditions shall not form the basis of determining installation quality.

25. Existing Window Film Removal

Where existing window film removal forms part of the agreed works, every reasonable effort will be made to remove the existing film safely.

Customers acknowledge that previously installed films may have been applied by third parties using unknown materials or installation methods.

Removal may reveal or contribute to the discovery of:

  • Existing scratches.

  • Existing glazing defects.

  • Adhesive residue.

  • Silicone deterioration.

  • Paint damage.

  • Failed seals.

  • Timber deterioration.

  • Previous repairs.

Where removal proves significantly more difficult than could reasonably have been anticipated, additional labour charges may apply. These will always be discussed and agreed before further work proceeds.

26. Commercial Properties

For commercial projects, the customer shall be responsible for ensuring that all necessary permissions, site access arrangements and operational requirements have been organised before the agreed installation date.

This may include:

  • Site inductions.

  • Security clearance.

  • Lift bookings.

  • Loading bay access.

  • Parking permits.

  • Out-of-hours working arrangements.

  • Building management approval.

  • Tenant notification where applicable.

Where commercial site restrictions result in delays or additional visits beyond those originally anticipated, additional costs may apply. These will always be discussed with the customer before proceeding.

27. Warranty

London Window Tints Ltd is committed to delivering professional workmanship and supplying high-quality products sourced from reputable manufacturers.

Where applicable, installations may be covered by:

  • A manufacturer's product warranty.

  • A London Window Tints Ltd workmanship warranty.

The specific warranty applicable to your installation will be confirmed within your quotation, invoice or separate warranty documentation.

Manufacturer warranties apply only in accordance with the manufacturer's published warranty terms and conditions.

Workmanship warranties apply solely to the quality of the installation carried out by London Window Tints Ltd and do not extend to product defects covered by the manufacturer.

Warranty cover may become invalid where:

  • The film has been damaged after installation.

  • Incorrect cleaning methods have been used.

  • The film has been modified, removed or repaired by a third party.

  • Damage has resulted from accidental impact, misuse or neglect.

  • The installation has been affected by alterations carried out after completion.

  • The Aftercare Guide has not been reasonably followed.

Nothing within this section affects your statutory rights under applicable consumer legislation.

28. Aftercare Responsibilities

To achieve the best long-term performance from your window film, customers should follow the guidance contained within our Aftercare Guide.

Unless otherwise advised:

  • Do not clean the film during the recommended curing period.

  • Avoid applying stickers, adhesives or suction-mounted accessories directly to the film.

  • Use only appropriate cleaning products designed for window film.

  • Avoid abrasive pads, blades or sharp objects.

  • Report any concerns as soon as reasonably possible.

Failure to follow reasonable aftercare guidance may affect the appearance, longevity or warranty of the installed product.

29. Completion & Acceptance of Works

Upon completion of the agreed works, customers will be given the opportunity to inspect the installation.

Where reasonably practicable, any concerns identified at the time of completion should be brought to our attention before the installation team leaves site.

If concerns cannot reasonably be resolved immediately, London Window Tints Ltd will arrange an appropriate course of action within a reasonable timeframe.

Acceptance of the completed works shall not remove the customer's statutory rights, nor prevent genuine warranty claims arising after completion.

30. Opportunity to Rectify

Should the customer believe that any aspect of the installation has not been completed to the agreed standard, London Window Tints Ltd must be provided with a reasonable opportunity to inspect and, where appropriate, rectify the issue before third-party contractors are instructed to undertake remedial work.

Where remedial work is carried out by others without first providing London Window Tints Ltd with the opportunity to inspect the alleged defect, we reserve the right to decline responsibility for any associated costs unless previously agreed in writing.

31. Third-Party Works

London Window Tints Ltd cannot accept responsibility for damage occurring after completion of the installation where such damage has been caused by third parties.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Builders.

  • Decorators.

  • Cleaners.

  • Electricians.

  • Carpenters.

  • Other contractors.

  • Property maintenance companies.

Customers are encouraged to ensure that reasonable care is taken around installed window film during any subsequent works.

32. Photography & Marketing

To help demonstrate the quality of our work, London Window Tints Ltd may photograph completed installations.

Photographs may be used for:

  • Quality assurance.

  • Staff training.

  • Portfolio purposes.

  • Website content.

  • Social media.

  • Marketing materials.

Where photographs include identifiable individuals or personal information, appropriate consent will be obtained before publication.

Customers who do not wish their completed project to be photographed for marketing purposes should notify us before or during the installation.

33. Cancellations & Rescheduling

We understand that circumstances can change.

Where a customer needs to cancel or reschedule an installation, we kindly ask that as much notice as reasonably possible is provided.

Where specialist materials have already been ordered specifically for the project, or installation resources have already been allocated, cancellation charges may apply to recover reasonable costs already incurred.

Where an installation is postponed at the customer's request for an extended period, London Window Tints Ltd reserves the right to review pricing should supplier costs, material prices or project requirements have changed.

34. Complaints & Resolution

If something is not right, we genuinely want to know.

Should you have any concerns regarding our products or services, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Our aim is always to:

  • Listen carefully.

  • Investigate fairly.

  • Communicate openly.

  • Resolve concerns professionally.

We believe that most issues can be resolved through open communication and will always seek a fair outcome wherever reasonably possible.

35. Limitation of Liability

Nothing within these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where such liability cannot legally be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.

Subject to the above, London Window Tints Ltd shall not be responsible for losses arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Pre-existing glazing defects.

  • Hidden structural issues.

  • Manufacturer defects.

  • Existing damage.

  • Incorrect information supplied by third parties.

  • Delays caused by suppliers or external contractors.

  • Weather conditions affecting installation.

Our total liability in respect of any claim arising directly from our services shall, to the fullest extent permitted by law, be limited to the value of the products and services supplied under the relevant quotation.

36. Events Beyond Our Control (Force Majeure)

London Window Tints Ltd shall not be considered in breach of these Terms & Conditions where delays or failure to perform arise due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Examples include:

  • Severe weather.

  • Flooding.

  • Fire.

  • Industrial action.

  • Supply chain disruption.

  • Government restrictions.

  • Utility failures.

  • Road closures.

  • Illness.

  • Other unforeseen events.

Where such circumstances arise, we will keep customers informed and work together to agree a revised programme wherever reasonably possible.

37. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms & Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales unless otherwise required by applicable law.
