1. Our Commitment

At London Window Tints, every installation is completed with care, precision and attention to detail.

Before completing any project, we inspect our work to ensure it meets the professional standards both we and our customers expect.

If you believe an issue exists that is directly related to our workmanship, we encourage you to contact us as soon as reasonably practicable so we can inspect the installation and, where appropriate, put things right.

Our aim is always to resolve genuine concerns fairly, professionally and with the same level of care that went into the original installation.

2. Workmanship Support

Rather than offering a fixed-period workmanship warranty, London Window Tints provides ongoing workmanship support for installations completed by our team.

If an issue is believed to have arisen directly as a result of our installation process or workmanship, we ask that you notify us as soon as reasonably practicable after it becomes apparent.

This allows us to inspect the installation while the issue can still be properly assessed and determine the most appropriate solution.

Where an issue is found to have resulted directly from our workmanship, London Window Tints will rectify the installation at no cost to the customer.

This workmanship support does not apply to issues arising from accidental damage, misuse, normal wear, environmental conditions or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

3. Manufacturer Warranties

The window films supplied by London Window Tints are manufactured by specialist manufacturers who may provide product warranties covering manufacturing defects.

Manufacturer warranties vary depending upon:

  • The product selected.

  • Internal or external installation.

  • Installation orientation.

  • Environmental exposure.

  • Manufacturer warranty terms.

The applicable manufacturer warranty for your installation will always be confirmed within your quotation, invoice or warranty documentation.

Full warranty information is available upon request before installation.

4. Warranty Periods

Warranty periods vary depending on the product installed and the conditions under which it is used.

Rather than publishing fixed warranty periods within this policy, London Window Tints confirms the applicable warranty for each installation individually.

This ensures that customers always receive the most accurate and up-to-date warranty information relating to their chosen product.

5. External Window Films

External window films are exposed to weather, ultraviolet radiation and environmental conditions throughout their service life.

For this reason, warranty periods for external films may differ from those applicable to internally installed products.

Factors affecting warranty periods may include:

  • Product selection.

  • Vertical or horizontal installation.

  • Roof glazing.

  • Coastal environments.

  • Environmental exposure.

Where external products are recommended, any applicable warranty information will be confirmed before installation.

6. Customer Responsibilities

To help ensure the long-term performance of your window film, customers are responsible for:

  • Following the London Window Tints Aftercare Guide.

  • Using appropriate cleaning methods.

  • Avoiding damage to the installed film.

  • Reporting concerns promptly.

  • Allowing London Window Tints the opportunity to inspect any potential warranty issue before third-party repairs are undertaken.

Following these simple recommendations helps us provide the best possible support throughout the life of your installation.

7. What's Not Covered

This Warranty & Support Policy does not cover issues arising from circumstances outside the reasonable control of London Window Tints.

Examples include:

Physical Damage

  • Impact damage.

  • Scratches.

  • Vandalism.

  • Deliberate damage.

  • Exposure to excessive heat or direct flames.

Customer Alterations

  • Attempting to remove the film.

  • Peeling or lifting the film.

  • Applying stickers or adhesive products to the film.

  • Third-party repairs or alterations.

  • Glass replacement after installation.

Environmental Factors

  • Flooding.

  • Fire.

  • Structural movement.

  • Building or renovation works.

  • Existing glazing defects.

Maintenance

  • Incorrect cleaning methods.

  • Failure to follow our Aftercare Guide.

  • Use of unsuitable cleaning products.

8. If Something Doesn't Look Right

Following installation, it is perfectly normal for window film to display temporary moisture, haze or small bubbles whilst curing.

In most cases these characteristics gradually disappear as the film dries.

If, after approximately 14 days under normal drying conditions, you notice that bubbles, haze or other concerns have remained substantially unchanged, we encourage you to contact us so we can review the installation.

Many concerns can be resolved quickly with simple advice or a brief inspection.

9. Making a Warranty Claim

If you believe your installation may be covered under this Warranty & Support Policy or an applicable manufacturer warranty, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

When contacting us, it is helpful to provide:

  • Your name.

  • Property address.

  • Installation date (if known).

  • Photographs of the issue.

  • A brief description of the concern.

This allows us to begin reviewing your enquiry promptly.

10. Inspection & Assessment

Before approving any warranty claim, London Window Tints reserves the right to inspect the installation.

This inspection allows us to determine:

  • The nature of the issue.

  • Whether it relates to workmanship.

  • Whether it falls within a manufacturer warranty.

  • Whether external factors have contributed.

We believe every claim deserves to be assessed fairly and individually.

11. Repairs & Replacements

Where an issue is determined to have arisen directly from our workmanship or from a valid manufacturer warranty, London Window Tints will work with you to agree the most appropriate resolution.

Depending upon the circumstances, this may include:

  • Repairing the installation.

  • Replacing the affected film.

  • Working with the manufacturer where product warranty applies.

  • Agreeing another fair solution where appropriate.

Every claim is assessed individually to ensure the outcome is fair for both the customer and our business.

12. Thermal Stress & Glass Compatibility

Before every installation, London Window Tints carries out reasonable compatibility checks based upon the information available at the time.

Whilst these assessments are intended to minimise risk, glazing may contain hidden defects, manufacturing imperfections or pre-existing weaknesses that cannot reasonably be identified before installation.

For this reason, London Window Tints Ltd cannot accept responsibility for glass breakage or thermal stress arising from pre-existing conditions or defects that were not reasonably identifiable before installation.

13. Transferability

This Warranty & Support Policy applies to the original customer who entered into the agreement with London Window Tints Ltd.

It is not automatically transferable to future property owners unless confirmed otherwise in writing.

14. Your Consumer Rights

Nothing within this Warranty & Support Policy affects your statutory rights under the laws of England and Wales.

This policy is intended to complement your legal rights by explaining the additional support and assistance provided by London Window Tints.
